Thanksgiving Day

The smell of pumpkin in the morning.  Everyone running around baking pie crusts at night.  The large random expired can of olives Grandma sends over for us to eat before it goes "bad".  The bracelet project and snowman building.  Kimberly's glamour shots, she probably didn't expect me to post.  Lisa kindly taking on projects for Grandma, that no one else can do.  She's amazing like that.    Snowflake making, family chats, kids in the cubby hole I played in as a kid, and eating delicious food.  I love watching movies with my parents, and playing super smash with my siblings, staying up way past my bedtime and loving every minute of it.  There are so many of us and it gets kind of chaotic, but it's just how I like it.
This is my family.
Happy very late Thanksgiving.  I'm so grateful for these beautiful moments I got to spend with family.

Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

Audrey hopes, dreams, prays, and wishes for snow every time we got to Utah, and every time we go she gets it.  The man upstairs must know how happy it makes her when she gets to see snow.
Obviously snow requires snowman making, especially when you only get to do it once a year.  This particular day the snow wasn't very good for snowman building, but Paul did his best to make a small one with Audrey.  Audrey loved it!  Someday we're going to have to have a proper snowball fight so that she's not throwing powder.  :)  I'll miss having a white Christmas this year, but I'm glad we got to soak it in for a  couple weeks.

Breakfast at Mom and Dad's House

The morning might be my favorite time at my parents house.  Making breakfast with my siblings, Phillip's pancakes, basking in the cuteness of all my nieces and nephews, having Mom at home, chatting with my Dad....it's almost like I go back in time to what it was like when I lived a little closer to home. I cherish every moment spent with them and I miss them so much when I go away.
Audrey can't get enough of cousins.  She loves all of them.  She has proved to me that she now knows all of their names.  It's like she has siblings for a couple weeks, I hardly see her while I'm there.  When we get home I'm never enough, luckily this time I had a puppy to distract her.
I look at these pictures and there's something that calms my soul.  I love these people and the time I get to spend with them.
