Audrey's giggle

Our video camera is so awesome that blogger has a hard time loading any video longer than 30 Sec. So I cut out everything but the laughs, compressed it....and whala! For your viewing pleasure. Paul is so good at making her smile and laugh.

6 Months

Label me a bad blogger. It's been a while again. I have made goals. They have fallen through. I've made new goals....we'll see how it goes. Expect to see at least one post a week (not that I have fans). I know someday all of this work/entertainment is going to make a really great book.
I can't tell you how much I have loved six months. Contagious giggle. Three different smiles. The nose crinkle. The MMMMmmmm every time I give her a new bite of food. I love her. Who couldn't?

It couldn't be valentines month without a few love photos from Audrey!

This is Audrey's best baby friend. Isn't she beautiful? They love to grab at each other and talk back and forth. I'm going to be sad when we have to leave and I can't watch these two play together anymore.

Red Velvet Cupcake Bake Off

WARNING: Do not wear anything you like while making Red Velvet Cupcakes.

Oh yes we did. We had a Cupcake Bake Off. I know your jealous! I'm on a mission to find the best cupcake recipes. After having the worst cupcake I have ever had from a local bakery I'm determined to collect a few of the best for future occasions. Audrey...I'm looking out for you! Red Velvet was the first. Tam and I each tackled a recipe. We had to make two recipes to see which was the best. So the competition began. Things were going in my favor. Mine even looked better...until it came time for tasting. Really they weren't bad but they did need half as much vinegar and definitely unsalted butter. If I fixed those two things I am confident I would have a perfectly moist Red Velvet Cupcake. If you trust me you can try it for yourself here.
I would try it for you but I'm pretty sure my insides are still dyed red from the last batch. I'm going to have to wait another good six months before we revisit Red Velvet. It has left it's mark.

People tell me she looks like him. I'm pretty sure she does :) ...except for the ears which are sadly mine. I love that smile!

5 Months!

I decided to venture out of the apartment today. These four walls were starting to close in on me. I had plans to go on a walk. Winter has disappeared lately and replaced itself with the Sun. Unfortunately the day I decide to get out it rears it's ugly head again. Instead I found myself at my parents house. Audrey has been 5 months for two weeks and I still haven't taken pictures. Kimberly graciously offered to share her sweet skills.

We went about rearranging the living room to have the perfect back drop. This is the magic we made...
Meet George. This is Audrey's best friend! Literally. He goes everywhere with her because if she has a melt down he's the only one that can make her happy. He likes to take rides in the car seat. He doesn't might receiving too many kisses or being chewed on. Through it all he always has a smile on his face. We Love George!

She's Sitting

We hit another milestone last week. My baby sits! I know everyone out there might be rolling their eyes right now, but I can't help it, I'm super proud of her.
