5 Months and Pictures

5 months brought a lot of jumping, a lot of smiles, and some first time belly laughs.  She has a face she makes when she wants to eat; her eyes are wide and her mouth is open...she may or may not have inherited her Mom's big mouth. :)  She coughs when she wants attention and her hands are still always in her mouth. She's starting to sleep better but only when she's between her Daddy and me.  She may be taking advantage of us with her cuteness and pathetic cry. She's also finally taking a pacifier which means longer periods of time between waking up.  I'm finally starting to feel like a normal human and not a zombie.
This day Audrey deemed her a queen and called her The Queen of Ireland all day.  The crown perfectly complimented her bald head. You should have seen the smile spread across Rae's face every time Audrey smiled and announced her new title.  Audrey even bowed to her a few times.
I attempted to paint the queen's toenails but she could only handle one foot.  I think we're going to have to have to try insta dry next time.  Queen or no queen, keeping a baby from trying to touch newly painted pink toes can be challenging.
The other pictures are from the day before a photoshoot I did with our young women in our church.  Paul and Audrey came with me to find a location and Audrey is forever my model.  I posted them because I wanted to always remember her desire for simple hairstyles and her eclectic way of dressing. Despite my best efforts she is her own human and at the end of the day she gets to be herself, even if that means insisting on a buttoned cardigan, layering multiple blues, and long socks with her slip on shoes. Oh... and the flower she picked up along the way.  I love her and it's a joy for me to watch her grow.
After we finished and found the perfect spot we went out for ice cream at a cute little creamery downtown.  They make their own waffle cones. and they are amazing!  Hopefully this summer we'll be able to do a little more exploring of our tiny downtown, including the used book shop which I'm dying to get into.
