June is always a crazy month for me. There are so many important days to remember and I usually don't forget....but this year I did. The day before our anniversary Paul says, "So what are we going to do for our anniversary tomorrow". I had to confess to him that I had no idea because I forgot that it was happening. In my defense we had previously planned all the details for a day trip in July but I hadn't thought at all about the actual day. It's a good thing that he's more on top of things than I am. I made up for it though by remembering Father's day and his birthday later in the month. We've had more dessert than I care to admit. :)
Paul's birthday was a really good day. We went to the little lake down the street from us. I say little because you are only allowed small fishing boats, paddle boards, and kayaks. We swam, played in the "sand", and had lunch. When we got home I finished the chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate cake Paul requested. It went in the fridge and we watched a movie together. It might have been a terrible kids movie, but we had a good time making fun of it :). Audrey made sure the house was decorated complete with streamers, party hats, balloons, photo booth mustaches, and labeled forks. She also made Paul a present which she was so excited about. She wrote several notes, picked out a few rocks from her rock collection, and carefully chose a piece of material from my material box to make him a scarf. I thought it was very sweet of her to want to do her own thing. She loves her Daddy so much.
Happy Birthday Paul! I feel so lucky to have you in my life. I love that we are doing the hard things and the not so hard things together. I love that I get to spend everyday with you. I have this feeling that year 32 is going to bring really good things. I love you!
